MARCUS (BE)
Marcus aka Stephane Matten, Davy Standaert and Geert Standaert is a live electro trio that stands for fat riffs and floating atmospheres. Marcus played several gigs to promote their first album ‘God Save The King’. Live or sharing decks with Djuma Soundsystem, Mason, the Subs, DJ Cosy Mozzy,… Spring 2008 was fantastic with liveshows in Fuse, Ancienne Belgique, Café D’Anvers, Sugar Factory (Amsterdam) &La Flèche d’Or (Paris). They also host their own show on local FM Brussels radio. Be prepared, because they’re gonna rock the city!

WAXDOLLS (BE)
Belgian Waxdolls only has 1 goal: make people dance!
Well, you must be a strange creature if you can keep your feet still when hearing their pumping beats.
WaxDolls blends the energy of a live band with danceable electronic music. So expect electro clash with heavy bass and guitar riffs. WaxDolls has lined up with Digitalism, Tomas Andersson, Kap Bambino, Yuksek, Les Petits Pilous, Crystal Castles, Sickboy, Velvet Underwear. These energetic live shows revealed them to be one of Belgian’s best kept secrets. Consider yourselves lucky we fail in keeping secrets… You’re becoming “Spoiled Rich Bitches” !

DJ PONE & LIL MIKE (BIRDY NAM NAM) (FR)
DJ PONE and LIL MIKE are half of one of today's hottest bands: Birdy Nam Nam (the other half being Crazy-B & DJ Need). They already won several prizes throughout their career including the DMC Technics 2002 World Team Championships. Their goal is to use the turntable player as an actual musical instrument. They owe such success to their impressive live shows, which draw an eclectic crowd. BNN’s highly awaited new album will be in the shops soon! Coming out from the hip hop scene they are now together with their mates from Ed Bangers (Justice etc…) more and more into the new French electro vibe. Expect a banging set from this two experienced dj’s who will make the roof shake!

Chromeo is P-Thugg and Dave 1, best friends since their adolescence, virtuoso musicians and the only successful Arab-Jew partnership since the dawn of human culture. After spending the three years since the release of their debut album 'She’s In Control' with jet setting, globetrotting, and embarking on an overall sensual conquest of planet Earth, Chromeo headed back to their Montreal lab to put together album number 2 ‘Fancy Footwork’. Loaded with dancefloor-ready singles “Fancy Footwork”, “Needy Girl” & “Tenderoni”. Are your feet up for it?

PER METRO – TRAM – BUS
Twee knooppunten van het Brusselse openbaar vervoer zijn op een boogscheut verwijderd van de ROOFS Festival locatie.
Zo ligt het metrostation ROGIER om de hoek. Metrolijn 2 passeert er, maar ook verschillende premetrolijnen en bussen.
Ook het metrostation BROUCKERE ligt vlakbij. Dit station vormt een halte op zowel lijnen 1A als 1B. Ook verschillende tramlijnen komen er langs. Handig zijn ook de NACHTBUSSEN die hier vertrekken tot drie uur in de ochtend.

PER TREIN
Het dichtstbijzijnde treinstation is ‘BRUSSEL NOORD’. Het ligt op wandelafstand van de ROOFS Festival locatie.

In de nachtelijke uurtjes is de taxi een makkelijke en veilige optie. Nuttige nummers zijn 02/349 49 49 (Taxi Verts) en 02/268 00 00 (Taxi Blue) of surf naar www.taxis.be

MET DE WAGEN:
ROOFS bouwt een feestje op het dak van de Brusselse INNO. Dit winkelcomplex ligt in het centrum van Brussel op de hoek van de bekende winkelstraat ‘Nieuwstraat’ en de ‘Brusselse kleine ring’. De inrit tot de parkeergarage bevindt zich aan de achterzijde van het gebouw in de DAMBORDSTRAAT 26. Op de benedenverdiepingen is er ruime parkeergelegenheid voorzien met rechtstreekse toegang tot het ROOFS Festival dak.
De Brusselse INNO kan vanuit diverse invalswegen bereikt worden:

Vanuit Antwerpen volg je de E19, eenmaal op de Brusselse buitenring neem je de E4O en volg je richting Centrum. Mensen vanuit Leuven en Luik nemen best ook de E40 richting centrum. Eens op de Brusselse binnenring rij je richting Koekelberg en vermijd je best de tunnels. Na een bocht naar links heet deze ring de Kruidtuinlaan. In de verte zie je de Koekelbergbasiliek, rechts de botanische tuin. Steek het grote kruispunt met de Koningsstraat over (1e lichten) en sla na ongeveer 50 meter (2e lichten) linksaf in de Pachecolaan. Neem vervolgens de eerste straat rechts, de Komediantenstraat. De ROOFS wegwijzers leiden je verder tot aan de parking.

Wie vanuit Gent of Oostende komt, blijft op de E40 tot voorbij Ternat en volgt richting Brussel – Koekelberg (Centrum). Rij rechtdoor langs de Keizer Karellaan en nadien de Leopold II-tunnel in. Neem de uitrit ‘Centrum’ en rij rechtdoor. Sla aan de vierde lichten rechtsaf in de Adolf Maxlaan. Rij de ROOFS parking binnen via de tweede straat links. De ROOFS wegwijzers leiden je verder tot aan de parking.

Description de route:

EN METRO – TRAM – BUS
Deux points de liaison des transports en commun bruxellois sont situés à proximité directe du site du festival ROOFS.
La station de métro ‘ROGIER’ est juste à côté : la ligne 2 du métro y passe ainsi que différentes lignes de pré-métro et de bus.
La station de métro ‘DE BROUCKERE’ est également à proximité. Cette station est une halte des lignes 1A & 1B. Différentes lignes de tram passent également par là. Les NOCTAMBUS sont aussi utiles au départ de ce point jusqu’à 3 heure du matin vers le haut de la Ville.

EN TRAIN
La gare la plus proche est la gare du NORD. Elle se situe non loin du lieu du festival ROOFS. (Suivez la direction CENTRE / Place Rogier puis les panneaux ROOFS).

EN VOITURE:
ROOFS fait la fête sur le toit de l’INNO. Ce grand magasin est situé au centre de Bruxelles sur l’un des coins que compte la célèbre rue commerçante ‘Rue Neuve’ située aux abords du ‘petit ring’. L’accès au festival et au parking se situe à l’arrière du bâtiment au 26 de la Rue DAMIER. Les étages inférieurs proposent un parking pour les véhicules avec un accès direct au toit où se tient le festival ROOFS. L’INNO – Bruxelles est aisé à atteindre de divers points de départs.

En venant de Louvain-Liège-Namur-Charleroi: Restez sur la E4O et suivez la direction CENTRE. Rejoignez le petit Ring de Bruxelles (Boulevard du Jardin Botanique) et suivez la direction Koekelberg. Ne prenez pas les tunnels. Découvrez sur votre droite le Botanique et au feu suivant prenez à main gauche le Boulevard Pacheco. Tournez à la première rue à droite dans la Rue des Comédiens et suivez les panneaux ROOFS jusqu’à l’entrée du parking au 26 de la Rue du Damier.

En venant de Mons: Rejoignez le Ring de Bruxelles. Prenez la sortie Koekelberg et suivez l’Avenue Charles Quint. Prenez le tunnel Léopold II à la Basilique et sortez du tunnel à la sortie ‘Centre’. Roulez tout droit et tournez à droite au quatrième feu dans le Boulevard Adolphe Max. Suivez ensuite les panneaux ROOFS jusqu’à l’entrée du parking.
